25-year-old singer-songwriter Kate Grahn was born and bred in Los Angeles. Raised by an opinionated and independent single mother, Grahn is no stranger to resilience, self-expression and soul. Her music is raw and passionate, and she draws from influences like Paramore, Alanis Morissette and Janis Joplin to tell honest stories about mental health, womanhood, and coming of age. After studying a wide range of contemporary artists at USC’s Thornton School of Music, she found her own sound which can be described as dark Melodic Pop with a rock edge
