Depressive episodes keep you in bed, sometimes for days, before you're able to get up just to take a shower. It feels like an endless battle is happening within your brain, except you're fighting with yourself, and it seems like you won't ever be declared the winner. In her video for her most recent single, "Untangling," Kate Grahn takes us on her journey with OCD and Tic Disorder, as we watch her try to detangle herself from intrusive thoughts.

LA’s Kate Grahn releases the single “Do I Like Him (Or Is He Just Ignoring Me)” - We listened, was it a love song (or is it a ragin’ hot party anthem) - hint it's both. The song is the fifth single from her upcoming EP Late Bloomer. We started off getting vibes of a possible love song of an emotionally torn person because of the gentle keyed synth sounds followed by the whispered vocals about "keepin’ my distance I won't get hurt" and "lie to myself I'm so mature" and then the song's anthem chant switches up and Grahn lets us know this is a message to be heard. With hard-hitting drums and gritty guitars, the visuals of a full room of fans rocking out and singing along are crystal clear. The lyrics are definitely intriguing and spell out those frustrating dating issues we can all relate to.

Kate Grahn can friggin’ sing. That’s the first thing you pick up on when hearing her perform. Her voice is amazing. Textured. Angelic. Just really fantastic. Kate Grahn can also write. That’s the second thing you pick up on when hearing her perform. Her lyrics are original. And inventive. Just really fantastic.

“Satisfied” displays her wide range as a recording artist, which is soaring, sassy and dynamic, all at the same time. Her spitfire, crisp vocals are reminiscent of Miranda Lambert meets the sassiness of Taylor Swift and the haunting quality of Lorde, and that ought to be taken as a compliment.

Her vocals on “Someday Baby” are crisp, sultry and crystalline. She begins the song in a subtle fashion, and it builds up into a powerful tune, where she showcases her wide range and tremendous lung power. Grahn maintains great control over the tone of her voice, and she is able to belt out the high notes towards the end.
